How this works

  1. Add your files. PDF, Word or PowerPoint, up to 30 at once. Scanned PDFs work — if there's no text layer we read the page with OCR.
  2. Say what to take out. Plain English: "my name is Sara Lim, remove my name, my student ID and the References section". Leave it blank and we'll remove the usual identifiers.
  3. Pictures and signatures too. Ask for "the signature", "all images" or "logos" and embedded pictures get blacked out. A full-page image is skipped, because on a scan the page itself is one image.
  4. Download. The text is removed from the file, not covered over — it can't be copied back out. Document properties (author, company, comments) are cleared too.
Check the result before you share it. What was removed is listed after each run — if something you expected isn't there, add it to the prompt and press Redact again.
